At the end of June, 92% of patients admitted to Salisbury District Hospital had their initial outpatient appointment, any diagnostic procedures and treatment, all within 18 weeks of their GP referring them to hospital. The same applied to 96% of patients who received their treatment as an outpatient.
Nationally, 90% of admitted patients and 95% of non admitted patients will need to be completing the pathway by 31 December 2008.
Peter Hill , Acting Chief Executive said: “ The Trust is committed to reducing waiting times for patients who need treatment at Salisbury District Hospital, whether they need this as an inpatient, day case or outpatient. Early achievement of the 18 weeks target is key to this success, with plans to reduce waiting times further.”
