Local people and patients have the opportunity to nominate an individual member of staff or team for a Salisbury District Hospital Customer Care Award.
The Customer Care Awards focus on the way in which staff have dealt with other people. In particular, whether they have delivered their care in a friendly and welcoming way or who have gone that extra mile to help.
Nomination forms can be picked up in the Customer Care Department on Level 2 at Salisbury District Hospital and on wards and in outpatient areas. Alternatively, people can nominate staff on the Salisbury District Hospital website. Look out for Customer Care Awards on the homepage.
Peter Hill, Chief Executive of Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust said: “Good customer care plays a crucial role in the overall care our staff provide and can have a significant impact on our patient’s experience. It forms a key part in our own values and behaviours and the way in which we expect our staff to act. I know that so many of our patients, relatives and carers want to recognise the enormous contribution our staff make to our hospital and the local community in terms of the way that they treat other people who come into the hospital as a patient or visitor.“
“We will accept nominations for individual members of staff or teams from any part of the hospital’s services, where people feel staff have gone that extra mile to help.”
Nominations close on 25 September 2015 and the winners will be announced following the Trust's Striving for Excellence Awards on 3 December 2015.
