Patients at Salisbury District Hospital enjoyed an opportunity to hear talented local bands, singers and entertainers as part of the Radio Odstock Has Got Talent event.

There was even a radio play performed by some members from the Bemerton Players.

The live broadcast kicked off at 7am with a non stop singles show featuring hits from the 60s onwards followed by request shows. It finished with an ultimate live mix from local DJ Dean Crane at 9pm.

The day was sponsored by presenters, friends and patients with additional proceeds going towards new equipment for studio 1. The Ministry of Defence has also generously donated funds and equipment that is being used at Radio Odstock.

Radio Odstock President Dave Langrish said:  “It was such an enjoyable and successful day and we were able to raise around £800 for Radio Odstock. There really are some excellent new acts out there and it was great to highlight their talents and give patients here an opportunity to experience what they can do.”
