Rosemary Squires MBE to officially open new charity shops at Salisbury Disrict Hospital

The Media are invited to attend the official opening by Rosemary Squires MBE of the new Salisbury Hospital League of Friends and Stars Appeal charity shops on Thursday, 14 March at 11.45am in the Main Reception at Salisbury District Hospital.

New charity shops will raise thousands of pounds for Salisbury Hospital League of Friends and the Stars Appeal. The Stars Appeal Book Shop sells good quality books, DVDs and jigsaws that have generously been donated by patients and visitors. The new League of Friends shop sells handmade confectionery, chocolate, fudge, locally produced ice cream and will become an outlet for products made by patients working in the Wessex Rehabilitation Centre.

George Todd, Chairman of the League of Friends said: “It seems so appropriate that the two hospital fundraising charities should be side by side in the main reception. The League of Friends and the Stars Appeal are most grateful to Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust for funding the redevelopment which enabled this project to go ahead.”
