Bryn Parry, CEO and Co-founder of Help for Heroes said: “ The whole ward has done fantastic work to help our recovering servicemen and women. Plastic surgeons Roderick Dunn and Alexandra Crick, supported by their amazing team of nurses, go beyond the boundaries of their job descriptions to look after the welfare as well as the health of their patients and we are so grateful for their support.”

Peter Hill, Interim Chief Executive at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust said: “ I want to congratulate all the team for their achievement. I know that the pioneering surgery and level of care we provide here for our military patients is truly outstanding and all those involved fully deserve the recognition they have received from the charity.”

The Help for Heroes, Hero Awards were started in 2010 when Bryn and Emma Parry, co-founders of the Charity, wanted to recognise fundraisers who had gone “above and beyond” what could be expected of them in support of Help for Heroes. These awards are not necessarily based on the amount of money people have raised, but more about their dedication, commitment and style of their support.
Staff received their award at a special ceremony at the Tedworth House Recovery Centre in Wiltshire.
