Staff loyalty and commitment recognised in Salisbury District Hospital long service awards

Thirty seven members of staff at Salisbury District Hospital were rewarded for their loyalty and commitment to patients when they received long service awards for completing 25 years continuous service.

This included staff from a broad range of roles across a range of services. A special ceremony was held in the Lecture Theatre at Salisbury District Hospital and those who were able to attend were presented with their certificate, flowers and a gift from Nick Marsden, Chairman and Peter Hill, Chief Executive.

Peter Hill, Chief Executive at Salisbury District Hospital said: " In the year that we celebrate the 21st anniversary of the hospital it was great to reflect on the enormous contribution our staff have made to the NHS and to local health services over the years through our long service awards.

“For me this annual event is one of the most enjoyable and rewarding occasions – a sentiment which is shared by our Chairman Nick Marsden who was experiencing the ceremony for the first time since joining us early this year.”

“Between them the 37 members of our staff had amassed over 900 years service to local health services. In addition, we also currently have around 1,300 staff who have worked for the hospital for over 10 years, highlighting their tremendous commitment to the hospital, our patients and the local community.”

The staff who completed 25 years service and received long service awards this year were: Anne Francis, Anne Seaman, Audrey Martin, Barbara Crouch, Carolyn Sawyer, Catherine Butcher, Daphne Phillips, Deanne Austin-Sant, Denise Russell, Dominic Holbourne, Gary Marshall, Gary Robert, Gill Williams, Helen Gillott, Helen Moule, Jane Daniel, Jane Morris, Jennifer Sword, Jo Hembury, John Keever, Karen Harrington, Katy Wood, Kim Hutchings, Linda Savage, Louise Kettle, Mary Nellis, Nicholas Reed, Nicola Hobbs, Pauline Manktelow, Richard Bolton, Sandra Higdon, Sara Dear, Sarah Godwin, Sharon Noble, Sylvie Jackson, Terry Cottle and Alan Denton.
