Post Office workers go with flow for Salisbury District Hospital Stars Appeal

Andover Post Office workers Sandra Cassells and Charlene Tee have raised a total of £1000 for the Stars Appeal. They swam 150 lengths for a sponsored swim in the Salisbury District Hospital Staff Club and the Post Office matched their original £500 donation.

Sandra said: “ We wanted to increase our fitness and raise money for a local charity and the Stars Appeal has really captured the attention of local people which is why we chose to support it. We had tremendous support from the Andover Post Office staff and Truffles Coffee Shop customers in Winterslow and we would like to thank them all for their support.”

The Stars Appeal is an ongoing appeal with individual campaigns raising funds for state-of-the-art equipment and new facilities. Although the first two are raising money for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and a dedicated Keyhole Cancer Theatre, local people can continue to raise money for their chosen ward, unit or department as part of the ongoing appeal.
