John Mangan - was elected a governor in February 2016. Having qualified in psychiatric and general nursing John’s early career was devoted to the development of community mental health services and the closure of the large psychiatric hospitals in Kent and Sussex. He gained an MBA in Strategic Health Services Management from the University of Kent and worked as a general manager for community and hospital services in the NHS in Kent before being appointed CEO of North Kent Healthcare NHS Trust and successor Trusts. He was a founder member and chairman of the Common Purpose Programme in Kent.
John is married to Anne. They have three sons and a daughter and four grandchildren. They moved to live in Hale in 2010 following their retirements.
