If you are coming into hospital for day surgery
The Day Surgery Unit at Salisbury District Hospital is a busy unit which is made up of six operating theatres and three wards. The unit closes every evening and is normally closed on Sundays. Operations performed in the Day Surgery Unit can be carried out under general or local anaesthetic, and patients are then transferred to one of the wards in the unit to recover before being discharged home.
For further information on how to prepare for an admission to our day surgery unit, please read the
patient information leaflet
We also have a
leaflet designed for children who are to have day surgery.
