This is a national service, the largest in Western Europe and patients travel to Salisbury from throughout the UK. There are over 2500 patients receiving treatment. This is the main research area of the Department and as well as developing new techniques, we are involved in the design and production of equipment and staff training, with over 1500 staff, mainly physiotherapist, having been trained in the FES techniques over the part few years.
