How do I get an appointment

All men in their 65th year will automatically be invited. Any men over 65 can call the numbers provided and we can offer you screening

Where will I be screened

There are a number of venues throughout Dorset and Wiltshire and we will be able to offer you screening in a location that suits you. (see our screening locations page)

How long does it take

The screening normally only takes a few minutes. We normally run to time.

When do I get the results

You get given the results at the time of the screening.

Does it hurt

It is a pain free scan (the same process as a pregnant woman has) simply a little gel on your tummy and a probe runs over your tummy.

Why aren’t women screened

Abdominal Aneurysm’s are 6 times more common in men than in women
