Haematology Team

The haematology consultants at this hospital are Drs Jonathan Cullis, Tamara Everington & Effie Grand. The haematology consultants each provide care in all aspects of haematology but Dr Cullis has a specialist interest in chemotherapy, Dr Everington in clotting and bleeding and Dr Grand in transfusion.

Dr Cullis is lead clinician for both haematology and oncology.

The medical team is supported by the Haematology Clinical Nurse Specialist with responsibility for co-ordination of our research programme and transplant service, Roy Dear and the Clinical Trials Practitioner, Claire Smith. There is also a dedicated anticoagulation service led by nurse specialist, Anne Marratty. This service supports patients on warfarin and other blood thinning drugs, initiates treatment of acute deep venous thrombosis (DVT) or pulmonary embolism (PE) and provides counselling for patients with thrombophilia.

Secretaries: Maxine Sargent on ext 4043 and Christine Tyrie on ext 4037
