Appointments for a COVID-19 booster vaccine can now be booked as soon as an eligible person has waited five months since the date of their second vaccination. However, booster vaccines can still only be given after a six-month interval (182 days), but allowing appointments to be booked at five months means people can get their jabs booked in early.
Coronavirus is likely to spread more during the winter months, and with the weather already getting colder, it is important that as many people as possible top-up their immunity by having the booster vaccination.
A range of vaccines are used at the Salisbury Vaccination Centre at City Hall, this now includes the Moderna vaccine, which is safe and effective for the majority of people.
You can book your appointment online here www.nhs.uk or by calling 119 for a first, second or booster vaccine. You can read the Government's easy-read guidance on COVID-19 boosters here.
