Salisbury District Hospital is opening its doors on Saturday 22nd July to let everyone in the community experience life in the hospital and find out how it provides care for our people in Wiltshire - and beyond.
See demonstrations, tour the hospital, and check out emergency service vehicles. Visitors can also learn about careers in healthcare and how the hospital works hard to protect our environment. Taking place from 10:00am – 2:00pm, there will be army medics taking you back to WWII, reflecting on how caring for the wounded has changed over time, and there will be a chance to meet the team behind the construction of our new ward.
Most importantly, bring your favourite toy, teddy or T-Rex with you for a full health check by the hospital children’s health team. A fun and educational event for all, there will be ice cream and food available. Tell your parents there’s free parking!
