Making Christmas Special at Salisbury District Hospital
Due to COVID-19, the hospital cannot receive gifts so instead we are encouraging everyone who wishes to support us this Christmas to consider donating to the Hospital charity, the Stars Appeal. They are raising funds to make sure that every patient in hospital on Christmas day receives a gift and, the hospital site is as bright and festive as possible to bring cheer to both patients and the staff who care for them.
At this time of the year the hospital often receives many kind donations of Christmas gifts for our patients and staff from the local community. We’re very grateful and appreciate our community’s outpouring of support, but we have had to make some changes to the way we do Christmas this year to keep both patients, their families and our staff safe. This has impacted our ability to accept gifts directly for both adult and child patients and staff.

Our staff at Salisbury District Hospital have long been well regarded for the quality of care and treatment they provide for our patients and for their innovation, commitment and professionalism. This has been recognised in a wide range of achievements and it is reflected in our award of NHS Foundation Trust status. This is afforded to hospitals that provide the highest standards of care.
