The final Ockenden report, released on 30th March, is heart-breaking to read. We welcome the findings and recommendations from Donna Ockenden and her team, which are to be shared across all Trusts in England and go further than ever before in demanding investment and commitment to safe care from all of those involved in providing maternity services to our populations.
We would like to reach out to our women and families locally and demonstrate our ongoing dedication to meeting the recommendations for all providers which are set out in the report. We will work together to ensure that we are listening, learning and improving with the full support of our executive team, governors and you as our population.
