When will you be referred to the Gynaecology clinic
Your GP will refer you to Gynaecology if they suspect that the symptoms you are experiencing could be due to a Gynaecological cancer.
The vast majority of people who are seen in Gynaecology clinic will not have cancer; however, it is important to attend your appointment for a full assessment. Your clinic appointment may take up to 2 hour so that all the necessary tests can be carried out. For more information on what these tests may include, visit Tests/investigations which may take place.
