You will be monitored closely with regular check-ups throughout treatment. These are important to assess whether the treatment is effective and to detect any signs of disease progression but also give us the opportunity to identify any way we can support you during your treatment.

During your regular check-ups tests will be carried out and these will vary but generally will include regular blood tests and diagnostic measurements and occasional imaging tests or bone marrow investigations.
You usually have regular follow-up appointments at the hospital during your treatment and when you are in remission. In some cases you may not require coming to the hospital and be able to have follow-up appointments with your GP. This is sometimes called a shared care agreement (follow-up care), you consultant will decide if this is appropriate.
