Symptoms and Diagnosis

Unfortunately, there may be no symptoms in the early stages. Once symptoms start to develop, they may include:

  • Pain in the abdomen
  • Yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes (jaundice)
  • Unexplained weight loss
  • Changes in your bowel habits

Other symptoms can include:

  • Feeling or being sick
  • Fatigue
  • Symptoms of indigestion, like feeling bloated
  • Changes in your poo, like constipation or diarrhoea
  • Pain in your tummy and the top of your back, that feels worse when you eat or lie down but feels better leaning forward or sitting up.

You may have another condition which may also cause the above symptoms, but it is always important to get any of these checked by your GP if they persist.
