Hospital Open Day Programme

This promises to be a free, fun and informative day for all the family to drop in and explore hospital life.

Ever wondered what is blood? How do you plaster an arm? What does an operating theatre look like? Then this Open Day is for you!

A full programme will appear here nearer to the event, but in the meantime here are just some of the things you will be able to do:

  • Bring your favourite teddy or toy for a check up at the Toy Hospital
  • Meet some of our therapy pets
  • Learn about blood in the Pathology Department
  • Explore an operating theatre
  • Meet our lifelike simulation robots
  • Have a real plaster cast put on
  • Go swimming in our pool for free between 13:15 and 14:15 at Odstock Health and Fitness
  • Find out about recruitment, work experience and volunteering opportunities
  • Sample some of the food from our brilliant kitchens – did you know, we are one of the only hospitals nationally that cooks fresh food on site?

Watch this space for more details.
