Nominations are officially open for the Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust Patient Experience Award 2026 - a special opportunity to recognise and celebrate the incredible individuals and teams who make a difference every day at Salisbury District Hospital.
Each year, the awards shine a spotlight on our Salisbury NHS staff whose dedication, compassion, and commitment go above and beyond for patients, colleagues, and the wider community. This year, we’re inviting patients and members of the public to play a key role in recognising outstanding care.
A chance for patients and the public to have their say
In recognition of the profound impact our staff have on people’s lives, the 2026 awards will once again include the Patient Experience Award - a category open to public nominations.
This award celebrates an individual or team who has made a meaningful difference to patient care, whether by improving services, delivering exceptional support to a patient, or enhancing the overall experience across the Trust.
Celebrating dedication and compassion
Nick Johnson, Managing Director at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, said:

Awards ceremony
Winners will be announced at a special awards evening held at Salisbury Cathedral on 10th September 2026. The evening is made possible thanks to the generosity of our hospital charity The Stars Appeal and all their supporters.

Our staff at Salisbury District Hospital have long been well regarded for the quality of care and treatment they provide for our patients and for their innovation, commitment and professionalism. This has been recognised in a wide range of achievements and it is reflected in our award of NHS Foundation Trust status. This is afforded to hospitals that provide the highest standards of care.
