Description

The Pharmacy Department provides a comprehensive clinical service to patients and staff at Salisbury Hospital. We provide a range of services all to ensure patients receive safe, effective and timely medication.

Our services include:

  • Full ward based clinical pharmacy and patient safety services
  • Dispensing services for in-patients
  • Clinical trials
  • Ward stock distribution
  • Procurement of Medicines for the trust
  • Aseptic production of chemotherapy, parenteral nutrition and high risk medication
  • Homecare services
  • Guidelines and medicines formulary services

Please note the Hospital Pharmacy is only available to in-patients.

Directions

By car: Enter hospital site at Entrance A. Park in car park 2 or 8.

By bus: Alight at Main Entrance (third stop).

Enter hospital at Main Entrance (Level 3) and turn left onto the main corridor, the department is on the right. From car park 8, enter the hospital via the Springs Entrance (Level 2). Take the stairs or lift to Level 3 and follow the signs.

Saturday and Bank Holidays: 9.00am to 1.00pm

Sundays: 9.30am to 1.00pm

Lloyds Outpatient Pharmacy

The Outpatient Pharmacy is run in partnership with Lloyds Pharmacy and it dispenses all outpatient prescriptions for the Trust, including prescriptions from A&E. As well as dispensing outpatient prescriptions, the pharmacy is also available to staff and visitors to purchase a range of pharmacy retail items and over the counter medicines (please note this service is not available to inpatients OR to anyone else buying on an inpatients’ behalf).

Green FP10 prescriptions from your consultant or G.P. should be taken to your local community pharmacy/chemist - they cannot be dispensed at the on-site Lloyds Outpatient Pharmacy.

Mondays to Fridays 9.00am to 6.00pm.
