Answer To Question 1: Procurement are not aware that any Surgical Robots are deployed in SFT. Confirmed by Surgery Division

Question Number 5: Do you use low-temperature sterilisation to sterilise reusable robotic instruments? What type of instruments are these?

Answer To Question 5: N/A

Question Number 6: What other type of surgical instrumentation/devices does the Trust reprocess using low-temperature sterilisation?

Answer To Question 6: The Trust have a flexible Choledochoscope which Sterile Services Limited decontaminate before sending off site to Steris super centre (Chessington) for sterilisation using a low temperature steriliser called V-Pro.

Question Number 7: What type of low-temperature sterilisation equipment is currently installed in the Trust’s Sterile Services Department? Please can you provide the manufacturer, model, and the number of machines?

Answer To Question 7: The Trust does not currently have any low temperature sterilisation equipment and the Trust outsources its Sterile Services.

Question Number 8: Does the Trust outsource its low-temperature reprocessing requirements to another NHS Trust or other 3rd party provider?

Answer To Question 8: Yes, STERILE SUPPLIES LTD (A Steris Company)

Question Number 9: Is the Trust looking to purchase a surgical robot in the next 12 – 18 months?

Answer To Question 9: There are no immediate plans to purchase a robot.
