How much funding did the Trust receive in total for the education of undergraduate medical students in the most recent financial year?
o Please specify how much of this funding was from the Higher Education England medical undergraduate tariff (previously known as the Service Increment for Teaching or SIFT), and how much was from any other sources, if applicable.
 
Answer To Question 1:
£514k - all from HEE
 
Question Number 2:
How many medical students were placed in the Trust during the most recent financial year?
o Please specify how many student ‘places’ the Trust hosted at any one time in the most recent year, as well as how many students hosted over the year in total. (e.g. the Trust may host 10 students at a time for one placement rotation, and after 8 placement rotations has hosted a total of 80 students over the course of the year.)
o Please specify which medical schools you hosted students from, and how many students from each medical school were hosted
 
Answer To Question 2:
Final year placement- 12 medical students for 28 weeks (1 block)
Child health students - 8 students for 6 weeks each
O&G students - 12 students for 5 weeks
Acute care - 24 students for 3 week
Student assistantship- 20 students for 4 weeks (2 rotations of 10 students for 4 week placement)
Medical School - Southampton

How much of the funding your Trust receives for hosting undergraduate medical students was ringfenced to be spent specifically on the education of medical undergraduates in the most recent financial year?

o How much was spent on staff with a specific undergraduate teaching role, such as Clinical Teaching Fellows (CTFs)?

o If there are CTFs employed by the Trust, how many hours of protected teaching time are they allocated per week as part of their role?
