How many incidents of racial abuse BY PATIENTS towards NHS staff (physical, verbal or written), were reported by NHS staff between 01.01.2019 – 31.12.2019?

1.1. How many of these reported incidents were followed up with any action being taken against the perpetrator?

1.2. If action was taken against any of the perpetrators, how many incidents were reported to the police?
 
Answer To Question 1:
1.0 - <5 incidents reported from 01/01/2019-31/12/2019

1.1 - <5 spoken with and discharged from the ward.

1.2 - No incidents reported to the police.
 
Question Number 2:
How many incidents of racial abuse BY PATIENTS towards NHS staff (physical, verbal or written), were reported by NHS staff between 01.01.2020 – 31.12.2020?

2.1. How many of these reported incidents were followed up with any action being taken against the perpetrator?

2.2 If action was taken against any of the perpetrators, how many incidents were reported to the police?
 
Answer To Question 2:
2.0 - 6 incidents between 01/01/2020 and 31/12/2020

2.1 - <5 cases security called to assist, in another incident the police were called and the patient arrested.

2.2 - <5 incidents reported to the police

How many incidents of racial abuse BY PATIENTS towards NHS staff (physical, verbal or written), were reported by NHS staff between 01.01.2021 – 31.12.2021?

3.1.How many of these reported incidents were followed up with any action being taken against the perpetrator?

3.2.If action was taken against any of the perpetrators, how many incidents were reported to the police?

3.0 - 15 incidents reported from 01/01/2021-31/12/2021

3.1 - 10 of these incidents were followed up with actions.

3.2 - <5 of the incidents were reported to the police.

How many incidents of racial abuse BY PATIENTS towards NHS staff (physical, verbal or written), were reported by NHS staff between 01.01.2022 – current date?

4.1.How many of these reported incidents were followed up with any action being taken against the perpetrator?

4.0 - <5 incidents have been reported from 01/01 2022 to 06/10/2022

4.1 - <5 of the incidents have had follow up.

4.2 - none have been reported to the police.
