Request Summary: Mortality rate for hospital-acquired Covid-19

| Question Number 1: Please disclose, preferably by PDF if the Trust is using an attachment The mortality rate for hospital-acquired Covid-19 at the Trust or the number of people who may have acquired Covid-19 whilst in hospital for another reason and the number of them who subsequently died. Please let me have figures for the past year, since March 2022 or any other recent period for which they are obtainable and if possible can you also provide breakdowns of the hospital acquired numbers and the number of deaths in various age groups. I am particularly interested here in older people and in children. If you can provide cases and deaths for under 5s as well as ages 5-15 or 16 or 17, that will be fine, otherwise the figures for under 16s or under 18s. In relation to older people, please provide a breakdown by groups of approximately 10 year spans and the last group to cover all over 90s, or over 80s, or over 70s. Therefore, could be 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 and over 80s. (Or 50-59, 60-69, over 70s.) If unobtainable this way, could be over 60s or over 50s. | |
