Request Summary: Maternity -
Request Category: Media
Question Number 1: DAV095-0001 Please can you provide the below requested information?: If you hold any relative documents which can provide the information in writing confirming the above requested, I would appreciate it. - When Maternity Wards stopped isolating Covid positive patients.
Answer To Question 1: Within maternity we have always been in line with the rest of the Trust in terms with following the guidance with a confirmed covid positive women including testing. Currently if a woman is suspected or confirmed to be covid positive we would isolate her into a room and staff would be encouraged to wear level 1 PPE. However we do not routinely test and only would if the woman was unwell and requiring admission
Question Number 2: - What was the covid policy in place on December 2021.
Answer To Question 2: There was no Covid policy specific to Maternity. Before COVID all Trusts had a Pandemic Flu Plan as this was and still is the highest NHS Risk, so no specific COVID 19 plan was developed here in SFT until 2022 which is still a “live” plan.
