I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information. Please may you provide me with:

How many amputation surgeries have been performed at your NHS trust since 2017?

 
Answer To Question 1:
Please see our response to this FOI in the Excel spreadsheet attached. We are unable to answer Q4 as the primary causes of amputation are not digitally recorded, only clinically coded diagnoses.

5. How many active amputation cases were managed by your NHS trust between 1 January 2024 and 31 December 2024? Please provide the figure broken down by gender and the following age groups:

• Baby (up to 1 year)

• Young people (20 to 24 years)

• Adult (25 to 64 years)
