Question Number 1: I would be most grateful if you could please provide details on the use of Minimally Invasive Cancer Therapies (MICTs), commissioned or delivered within your Trust area during the 2024-2025 financial year. The types of treatments MICTs include are: • Cryoablation • Selective Internal Radiation Therapy (SIRT) • High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) Please confirm if your Trust does or does not commission any of these procedures. If so, please list the therapies involved. | |
Answer To Question 1: None of these treatments are provided in Salisbury. Our patients would potentially be referred to a Tertiary centre to receive these if recommended. Response from Cancer Team: We don’t provide any of these treatments – we’d tend to send patients to University Hospital Southampton if needed. | |
