Question Number 2: Can you break down the percentage spent on bank/locum Doctor spend on the last year (2024) to the most recent records you have, compared to the year before (2023)?

Question Number 3: How many Doctor vacancies do you currently have within the Trust that have been vacant for over 6 months?

Question Number 4: Do you have any cost-saving measures in place?

Answer To Question 4: All requests for new agency workers and extensions go via Trust Workforce Control Panel, monthly reviews are undertaken by the Deputy Chief medical Officer with Divisions around continuing use of agency ensuring exit strategies are in place for each worker

Question Number 5: Locum-to-permanent ratio: How many locum doctors are currently employed versus permanent doctor staff, and what is the rationale for using locums instead of permanent?

Answer To Question 5: 18 vs 524 Reason for use is to cover vacancies that hard to recruit or classed as specialisms.

Question Number 6: Please share which departments have the highest locum doctor spend due to them not being able to fill hard-to-fill roles?

Answer To Question 6: Areas that are classed as hard to recruit would be elderly care, radiology, gastroenterology and dermatology
