I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. I would like to obtain the following information:

• The number of surgical removals for a miscarriage under 20 weeks, known as Dilation and Evacuation, which took place in your trust in the past five years.

Answer To Question 1:
Maternity- zero

Gynae-

Number of patients who has surgical management of a miscarriage, who came through EPU.

2023 – 80 patients

2024 – 62 patients

2025 – 43 patients (January until September)

The number of these surgeries which were sent for genetic testing

Answer To Question 2:
Maternity- zero

Gynae- We have managed to gather the following information on genetic testing for patients who were seen in our recurrent miscarriage clinic. 2024 – 7 patients and 2025 - 10 patients.
