| Question Number 1: I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request access to information as part of a research project being undertaken titled: ‘A systematic review and quality assessment of local guidelines for managing pregnancies with suspected fetal macrosomia/large for gestational age.’ The purpose of this research is to review the consistency and variation of local NHS Trust guidelines on the management of pregnancies where fetal macrosomia or large-for-gestational age is suspected. This work aims to identify variation and contribute to informing recommendations for future national guidance. Please provide a copy of your Trust’s current local guideline(s), protocol(s) or policy documents relating to the management of suspected fetal macrosomia/large for gestational age. If multiple documents exist, i.e, obstetric guidelines, maternity clinical protocols, induction of labour, etc, I would be grateful if all of these relevant documents could also be provided. Please note: - No patient-identifiable information is requested - This information will solely be used for academic research purposes. | Answer To Question 1: The Trust does not currently have a Guideline relating to the management of suspected fetal macrosomia/large for gestational age. We are currently in the process of writing one. | |
