Question Number 1:
I am writing on behalf of the charity Sophie’s Legacy to formally request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

We would like to request data relating to children admitted to your hospital during the calendar year 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025.

Specifically, we are seeking:

How many children, 0-17, were admitted to your trust from 1st January 2025 until 31st December 2025

Question Number 2:
Of those children, aged 0-17, admitted on an inpatient basis, please provide a breakdown in relation to the following age groups, for 1st January 2025 to 31st December 2025:  0-2; 2-5; 5-10; 10-15.

In the period 1st January 2025 to 31st December 2025 , what was the average stay for a child aged between 0-17, admitted to hospital?

Question Number 4:
For the period 1st January 2025, what was the number of children who had a hospital stay of: 1 day - 1 week; 1 week - 1 month; 1 month - 3 months; 3+ months.

Question Number 5:
How many babies or children sadly died from 1st January 2025 until 31st December 2025, how many of them were aged under 1.

Question Number 6:
Does your trust provide play specialist in hospital 7 days a week? If so please record the name of the ward
 
Answer To Question 6:
Currently the play team work week days only.
Play specialist 5 days
Play assistant 3 days (due to being at uni two days, studying to be a play specialist)
Cover when 2 of the team are in is 7.30-4.30. when one is in 7.30-3.30
 
Question Number 7:
Does your trust feed all parents who stay with their babies or children, if so please state how many meals a day
 
Answer To Question 7:
For Inpatients on Maternity, all mothers are fed, but not partners. Mothers are offered a buffet breakfast and then are served hot meal options for lunch and dinner. Snacks and sandwiches are additionally available throughout the day.
On Neonatal we provide 3 meals a day for all Mothers in addition to snacks and sandwiches being available throughout the day. Dad/ 2nd carer are offered some vouchers to subsidise food and can use Sophies/ charity supplied food from pantry's.

Does your trust have a children's menu which has been updated within the last 12 months, if so please can you provide a copy.
