I would be grateful if you could supply the information listed below:

Please supply a graph of your most recent audit of pain scores for a. diagnostic hysteroscopy b. operative hysteroscopy
 
Answer To Question 1:
Our Data includes both operative and Diagnostic Hysteroscopy together. Audit not yet complete - only 38 patients surveyed so far.

Question Number 2:
In the last 2 years how many/and what percentage of your hysteroscopy patients had the service of an anaesthetist giving general or regional anaesthetic or IV sedation plus analgesia for :

a. diagnostic hysteroscopy

b. operative hysteroscopy

Is Entonox routinely available for your awake hysteroscopy procedures.
 
Answer To Question 3:
Yes
 
Question Number 4:
Is Penthrox available for your awake hysteroscopy procedures? If so is this available to all patients from the outset of the procedure or only at the onset of pain?
 
Answer To Question 4:
No. Not currently available in gynae outpatients. 
 
Question Number 5:
Do you offer IV sedation with analgesia for hysteroscopy in a. outpatients and b. day case/theatre.
 
Answer To Question 5:
No
 
Question Number 6:
Are you considering offering IV sedation with analgesia for hysteroscopy. If so would this be a new/separate clinic?

 
Answer To Question 6:
No currently considered in Outpatients. potentially will be available in Day surgery in the future - timeline not determined. Only 3 trusts in the UK offer conscious sedation at present. 2 do this in outpatients and one in A day surgery setting.

What percentage of your patients received any kind of anaesthesia for a. diagnostic hysteroscopy b. operative hysteroscopy
 
Answer To Question 7:
Diagnostic: unable to access that data. Operative 100%
 
Question Number 8:
What percentage of all your hysteroscopy procedures couldn't be completed due to pain or distress in a. diagnostic hysteroscopy b. operative hysteroscopy

Question Number 9:
Is it true that local anaesthesia is only offered if the patient is showing signs of pain during a. diagnostic hysteroscopy b. operative hysteroscopy
 
Answer To Question 9:
No. It is offered at the point of consent for Diagnostic Hysteroscopy. and it is given routinely for Operative Hysteroscopy. 
 
Question Number 10:
Are over-the-counter medicines patients take at home and distraction techniques the ONLY pain management used for a. diagnostic hysteroscopy b. See and Treat polypectomy/myomectomy c. scheduled polypectomy/myomectomy d. endometrial ablation.
 
Answer To Question 10:
No. it is first line for Diagnostic with others available on arrival. Operative and Nova sure always have a prescribed Pre-med prior to procedure and Local anaesthetic. We do not currently offer a see and treat service. 
 
Question Number 11:
Would you please supply a copy of your consent forms for all types of hysteroscopy procedures (Outpatient and day case with anaesthetist.)

Would you please supply or tell me where I can see, a recent Hologic audit of your Myosure service.
 
Answer To Question 12:
The requestor would need to approach Hologic for this audit, the team are not aware of the audit
