Description

Improving the emotional wellbeing of older people in hospital

The Stars Appeal Engagers Programme is run by the Department of Clinical Psychology at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust and is designed to support the psychological needs of older adults in hospital who often find the transition from home to hospital difficult. This may lead to problems such as anxiety and depression.

Stars Appeal Engagers uses specially trained psychology volunteers to help support the emotional wellbeing of patients during their stay in hospital

The Stars Appeal Engagers Programme is funded by the donations made to the official hospital charity, the Stars Appeal.
