To improve patient experience and reduce waiting times, Salisbury Hospital is changing the way it provides GP-requested blood tests through our Pathology Department.
From Monday 10th August 2026, patients must book an appointment online, using the online booking system.
There will no longer be a walk-in service for GP requested blood tests.
Alternatively, you can arrange to have your blood test at your GP Surgery or at the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) in Salisbury City Centre – Book here.
By using the online booking system, we will reduce waiting times, offer more flexibility in appointments and provide a better patient experience.
Unless pre-arranged with Pathology Reception, all patients attending for a blood test, or dropping off a sample, MUST have an appropriate request form.
