Blood Tests

To improve patient experience and reduce waiting times, Salisbury Hospital is changing the way it provides GP requested blood tests through our Pathology Department.

From Monday 10th August 2026, patients must book an appointment online.

There will no longer be a walk-in service for GP requested blood tests.

The booking system will be available from Wednesday 27th July 2026.

Alternatively, you can arrange to have your blood test at your GP Surgery or at the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) in Salisbury City Centre – Book here.

Please note:

  • Inpatients and those with a Blood Passport do not need to book.

The online booking system, we will reduce waiting times, offer more flexibility in appointments and provide a better patient experience.

If you wish to share any feedback about our service please contact sft.pals@nhs.net.
