| Question Number 2: Currently, roughly what percentage of your Trust's hysteroscopies are done with an anaesthetist a) diagnostic? b) operative (e.g. polypectomy, myomectomy, endometrial ablation)? | |
| Answer To Question 2: The available data suggests that 9% of hysteroscopies are completed with anaesthetic. Unable to provide data on the various operative procedures. | |
| Question Number 3: What is the current approximate waiting time in weeks for a patient who asks for a general anaesthetic, spinal anaesthetic or IV sedation with analgesia for hysteroscopy a) under the 2 week wait as an urgent referral for suspected womb cancer? b) not under the 2 week wait? | |
| Answer To Question 3: a) within 2 weeks b) Longest wait for a patient waiting for a hysteroscopy under general anaesthetic, spinal anaesthetic or IV sedation is 69 weeks. Patients are booked in date order and clinical priority. | |

| Answer To Question 4: We are working toward this guidance for operative hysteroscopies. 90% diagnostic hysteroscopies are completed in Outpatients. | |

| Answer To Question 9: No pain scores are not officially taken and recorded. The Nursing team support the patient throughout, distracting from the procedure when required and in constant communication with the patient re stopping the procedure if required. | |
