Salisbury District Hospital is under intense pressure

03 October 2022
Salisbury District Hospital is currently under intense pressure. We ask for your support as we work to improve the flow of patients through the hospital. Please don’t attend A&E unless you have a life threatening illness or injury, so we can prioritise the most urgent or critical patients. We would also encourage the community to consider alternatives to A&E for minor illness or injury including the Salisbury Walk-In Centre, NHS 111 or your local pharmacy. If you must attend A&E, please be patient as staff will prioritise those with the most urgent and critical needs.

Salisbury District Hospital A&E under pressure

21 September 2022
Our A&E is currently under intense pressure. We encourage our local community to help reduce pressure on the hospital, and only attend A&E if they are experiencing a life threatening condition. Alternatives to A&E include the Salisbury Walk In Centre and NHS 111: https://111.nhs.uk/ and by phone. For minor illness local community pharmacists can provide advice and a range of over-the-counter medicine and treatments. We ask for your support as we work to improve the flow of patients through the hospital. If you have friends or family waiting to be discharged please try to respond quickly to calls about their ongoing care at home or in another setting.
