Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust have today announced Paul von der Heyde as their Joint Chair. This marks a significant milestone in the formal collaboration between these three Care Organisations as BSW Hospitals Group.

Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust has announced that, with the support of the Salisbury Hospice Charity, the Salisbury Specialist Palliative Care service has been secured for the next five years.

Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust welcomes the Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection report released on Wednesday 25th February, which states that the Trust’s medical services continue to be rated ‘Good’ overall.

The Met Office has issued flood warnings for all of the Salisbury area, with river levels still rising. Rain is expected later today and over the next few days. Road flooding is expected. Residents may experience inundation of septic tanks and sewer systems, with flooding in cellars in affected areas. Please be aware, be safe and leave more time for your journeys.

Salisbury District Hospital is once again inviting the community to immerse themselves in what life at the hospital is all about. Visitors will discover more about the workings of their local hospital with a variety of demonstrations, activities and displays across a wide range of departments. Last year this included the popular toy hospital, hi-tech lifelike simulation manikins and the ‘fracture clinic’ in which children got plaster casts on their arms. The Hospital Open Day will run from 10am to 3pm on Saturday 16th May.
